PUTRAJAYA, March 7 (Bernama) -- Five national road cyclists are in the running for two places at the London Oylmpics in July.
Malaysian National Cycling Federation president Abu Samah Abd Wahab said the five riders shortlisted were Anuar Manan, Mohd Adiq Hussainie Othman, Amir Mustafa Rusli and siblings Mohd Harrif Salleh and Mohd Zamri Salleh.
"We have a clear idea (who will go to the Olympics). The matter will be discussed by the selection committee and a decision will be known in two weeks," he told reporters after the pre-launching of the Tour of Malaysia 2012 here Wednesday.
Malaysia have qualified on merit for two places in the men's elite mass start event at the London Games.
It is the first time Malaysians have qualified for road races in the Olympics after 20 years.
