KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian hockey team lost 2-3 to South Korea in the Olympic qualifying rounds in Dublin, Ireland early this morning.
With the defeat, Malaysia will now face a difficult task to make it to the final.
South Korea began the attack as early as the fifth minute with a field goal scored by You Hyo Sik.
You again broke through the Malaysian defence in the 43rd minute to make it 2-0 with another field goal.
However, Malaysia retaliated in the second half when Hafifihafiz Hanafi reduced the margin in the 55th minute through a penalty corner while Tengku Ahmad Tajudin Tengku Abd Jalil levelled the score in the 59th minute.
