Disappointing outing for Hasli

HASLI Izwan Amir Hasan ended his Olympic campaign on a disappointing note when he finished 15th out of 18 shooters in the 25m rapid fire pistol competition at Beijing Shooting Range yesterday.

Hasli shot 95-95-95 in the second stage of competition for 285 points, which was better than the 279 he garnered in the first stage on Friday.

But his total of 564 was well outside his national mark of 581 set in the Asian Championships in Kuwait last December.

Ukrainian Oleksandr Petriv took the gold with a total of 780.2 points while defending champion Ralf Schumann of Germany settled for silver on 779.5.
